Overview:
The purpose of this article is to show that we have developed and adhere to a code that is vitally important to our operation and is the soul behind our services. These are primarily internally-based and intended for our staff; we simply want to transparenly share with pride where we stand with everyone, including current and prospective clients alike.
Our foundation rests on several specific core values and keywords that include giants like - quality, integrity, compassion, respect, humility - only a few of the ideals that drive us. We compensate our Teammates at the industry's highest level and in return, we expect the industry's highest level of service from our Team.
There is a specific "goodness" that we look for when hiring. It can not be qualified by dollars or numbers of successful services completed. The select individuals that we strive to employ must possess genuine compassion and integrity. We can teach our approach and methods of cleaning (and you may have plethoric experience already), but if you possess a heartfelt desire to serve and find reward in that, we have a position available for you!
Understood and Common-Sense Basics:Our workers will refrain from the following while on duty:
Use of any client property on the premises for personal reasons.
Playing music (or the like) aloud.
Fraterninzing or outside communicating.
Making indecent comments or gestures.
Using profanity.
Bringing non-personnel onto the premises.
Engaging in ANY illegal activity.
We expect:
While inside a client's home or business or while on the roads connecting our community, all staff of The Gleam Team Cleaning Company is to be positive in appearance and attitude. Our main and only focus within a client's home or business is to clean and we look to go the extra mile to bring the Gleam. All staff is expected to treat the resident or homeowner with decency and to uphold self and company with integrity. As can happen, a space may present itself as exceptionally difficult to work in; our Teammates are instructed to call the management office at which point we can make a plan of action and implement it.
We want our employees to know they are supported in all pursuits of a full, productive, healthful life in and outside of work. We put a premium on proactivity and positivity while also understanding that struggles are inherent to life. Our philosophy is that even our personal essences will add to or detract from the GLEAM of a home. We feel strongly that if personal difficulties are too heavy to be left at the door upon entry into a home-being-cleaned, the Teammate should request a day (or as much time as is needed) to handle any situation and return to work when possible with a positive attitude and a desire to leave a stellar impact on the spaces entered and cleaned.
While on the road a Teammate's day may start on one side of town and finish in another. Staying on schedule will be crucial. There will, of course, be time allotted for personal breaks and breathers, but the schedule should always be in mind in order to fully respect our clients. Reliability is of the utmost. If any unforeseen occurrence threatens a Teammate's reliability and commitment, he/she is expected to call the management office with as much advanced notice as possible so our clients can still receive the services paid for.
There is a zero-tolerance policy for any non-prescribed controlled or impairing substance use. Teammate's must inform management of any prescribed medications. We work with equipment and around many precious and delicate objects, many of which may be irreplaceable. We can not tolerate the use of substances that may skew judgment and affect mobility, even if they are prescribed. Safety is equal to the positivity and carefulness we expect of our Teammates.
With hope for rarity, occasionally an object may break as we handle delicates and are working to positively enhance environments. In the rare occasion a Teammate might find trepidation in the handling and cleaning of an object they deem too delicate, the first rule-of-thumb is use wise judgement. Most clients will understand the trepidation and would rather not have a broken rare artifact or family heirloom. If in doubt, call management. If there is an unfortunate break, Teammates must inform the management office immediately so they can then communicate with the client. There is a zero tolerance policy for leaving something broken behind without the proper chain of communication.
Simply and most importantly, Teammates must be imbued with integrity and decency, use common sense, and represent The Gleam Team positively well. Being a part of this family is something to be proud of and signifies you are truly good at what you do! Remain focused, upbeat and willing to do what is possible to help others. It's a life philosophy we believe in and know it will enable all involved to better conquer and transcend some of the woes of this world.

THE GLEAM TEAM'S CODE OF PRIVACY: HIPPA COMPLIANCE
We serve numerous private homes, occasionally you will be required to read, sign and adhere to a HIPAA compliance Document, as many of the areas we clean contain sensitive data and personal information the general rule of thumb is to just clean and always remain focused on the task at hand.
There is a zero tolerance policy for the removal of any documents, data or property from any location we serve aside from trash which must be disposed of immediately on site in the clients receptacle.
You may hear a conversation of sensitive nature. You must move throughout your cleaning routine as if it was never heard and never repeat these conversations to anyone. We are a guest in our clients homes. It is our ethical responsibility to respect and protect their best interests.
We have been invited into the most intimate areas of our client's homes, often beyond the points where family and friends are even allowed. Consider this an honor and simply do the best you can to clean these areas to our client specifications or higher. Anything you see must be left behind mentally. As an associate for our cleaning service the idea of maintaining our client's privacy in all matters is of the utmost importance to us. Any violation at all will result in immediate disciplinary action, including the possibility of termination.
We operate in a variety of home environments from mansions to tiny homes to apartments- these policies are effective everywhere, in all cleaning scenarios at all times.

Their privacy is of the utmost importance and the fact that we’ve been trusted to be privy to such data and information should be considered an honor and is something to be proud of.
